About Skiing in Morzine

Morzine is a traditional mountain village in the heart of the vast skiing area of the Portes du Soleil which provides 650 kms of pistes. Some of the best snowboarding facilities in the Alps can be found in Avoriaz which can be accessed directly by the Prodain lift. From this same lift you can ski to Switzerland and back in a day, still having time for lunch in one of the many excellent mountain restaurants. As well as having a good selection of shops, bars & nightclubs, there is also an indoor ice rink and two cinemas.

There are also great kids facilities. Le Club des Piou Piou, run by the ESF (Ecole de Ski Francais), caters for beginner skiers between the ages of 3 -12. There is also L'Outa creche, which caters for children from 2 months - 6 years and is open from 9.00am - 5.30pm.
